About Juan
Consultant: Exhibition, Interpretive and Spatial design
John specializes in exhibition and spatial design. He balances design and curatorial elements in his work. The emphasis is on innovative communication; balancing academic, education and entertainment in an interpretative matrix. His prodigious talents and research in this area allow him to take a project from concept through to successful completion.
Within the MLC structure he manages the interpretive process; of which concept design, management of staff, budgets, documentation, production, co-ordination and inspection occur. In this role, John has designed 44 significant exhibitions for national and international clients. His most outstanding projects to date are the Shoah (Holocaust) Candelabra for the Sydney Jewish Museum; a children's museum Rivertales for the Singapore History Museum and the world blockbuster exhibition, Lord of the Rings-The Exhibition for Te Papa Museum, New Zealand & New Line Cinema.
John consults on all MLC exhibition projects and currently lectures Exhibition and Design at the University of Technology.
